Building a Fair Food Future – How global Food Systems are creating a sustainable tomorrow

Fairtrade and Vox Europ are organizing an event entitled “Building a Fair Food Future – How global Food Systems are creating a sustainable tomorrow” in Wolf Food Market in Brussels on October 13th at 12h30.

Panelist will include:

  • Saskia Bricmont, Belgian member of the European Parliament for the European Greens
  • Deborah Osei Mensah: Cocoa farmers and Fairtrade ambassador from Ghana

  • Paul Schoenmakers: Head of Impact at Tony’s Chocolonely from the Netherlands

The event will be held en English and will be facilitated by Cathérine André from Vox Europ.

Background: Global food systems are evolving rapidly and are increasingly challenged by climate change and reoccurring crises such as the COVID pandemic and the more recent global economic crisis. The demand for a system change has never been louder. It is within this context that this event aims to discuss what sustainable supply chains of the future should look like that not just take into account climate and environmental sustainability, but that also contribute to social justice.  During  the panel discussion insights will be shared from Fairtrade, policy makers and industry leaders on this important topic.

Registration is mandatory and you can register here. The first 30 registered people get a meal voucher to be spent at Wolf market.
